Geneva Cegelis Sum is a fine art photographer based in Los Angeles. Working primarily in personal narrative, Geneva blends fine art and documentary to create “sociological documentary” images that comment on the self in the context of society as a whole. Geneva’s work is often psychologically charged, using minimalistic compositions, strong use of color, and emotion to create a portrait of the human condition.

Geneva is also available for commercial work including portraiture, lifestyle, fashion, and documentary. 

Geneva received her BFA in Graphic Design from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and is currently working towards a certificate from the Los Angeles Center of Photography. She is primarily a self-taught photographer and also runs a freelance graphic design business. 

Geneva lives in Highland Park with her husband, Wyatt.
